In celebration of Women’s Month, REMAX Southern Africa is spotlighting the rising stars of the industry; young women who are not only excelling in their field but are also setting new standards for what is possible early in a real estate career.
“As the industry continues to evolve, we are proud to see such exceptional young women driving innovation and growth within the REMAX network,” says Adrian Goslett, Regional Director and CEO of REMAX of Southern Africa. “Their success is a testament to the opportunities this industry holds for ambitious, hard-working individuals, regardless of age.”
Leading this new wave is Angela Morite, the youngest top earner within the REMAX Southern Africa network. At just 19 years old, Angela has earned more than any other REMAX agent her age. Based in Klerksdorp with REMAX Exclusive, she joined the industry at 18 and has made remarkable strides in a short amount of time. This year alone, she has already closed eight sales and is actively working on several high-value listings, including one at R2.3 million.
Her advice to other young women is to guard against the temptation of comparison. “My focus is on my own growth — appreciating my achievements, no matter how big or small, and staying present in my journey. I’ve come to understand that comparison often becomes the thief of joy and can bring unnecessary negative emotions, so I choose to stay in my own lane and trust my path,” she explains.
Another exceptional young professional is based in Cape Town. Bella Fulford of RE/MAX Living is the highest-earning agent under 30. At only 26, she has already been named among the Top Achievers three years in a row.
Starting her career at 22 with a psychology degree, Bella was drawn to how sales taps into human behaviour – most don’t realize just how emotional big decisions really are. She transitioned from a small real estate firm to working alongside industry veteran Philip Gullan, who is now her mentor and business partner at one of the Cape’s leading REMAX offices, REMAX Living.
Her most notable sale to date? A R95 million luxury property. Bella credits her success to consistency and courage. “Success comes from showing up, taking risks, and accepting that failure is part of the process. You won’t start at the top, but if you show up, stay the course, and keep learning, the results will come,” she says.
She encourages other young women who are starting their careers to find a good mentor. “A good one will save you years of trial and error and help you grow faster. They’ll sharpen your focus and remind you of your potential when things get tough. Also, remember that you are your own brand. Don’t be afraid to do things differently. And most importantly, your clients aren’t sitting at your desk, so get out there and meet people,” she encourages.
Also among this elite group of top earners under 30 is Meg Dyssel, 25, from RE/MAX Advantage in Johannesburg. “I officially joined RE/MAX in February 2024, and it took five months before I made my first sale. That learning curve taught me that success doesn’t happen overnight, but with persistence and dedication, it absolutely comes,” she notes.
Since then, Meg has successfully closed on 17 properties, including a R5 million family home in Sandton’s prestigious RiverClub estate.
Meg’s background in education and beauty sales shaped her client-first approach and helped her develop the discipline needed to thrive in real estate. “I believe in setting clear goals and putting in the daily work. Success doesn’t happen overnight, but it does come with consistency and drive – whether it’s prospecting, following up, or learning from others. I’m someone who’s always willing to sacrifice short-term comfort for long-term growth. That’s meant late nights, saying no to distractions, and learning to hold myself accountable even when no one is watching,” she says.
Together, these three women embody the values and vision of the RE/MAX brand: ambition, integrity, and excellence. They are redefining what success looks like for women in real estate and inspiring a new generation to dream bigger, work smarter, and lead boldly.
